Ankle Injury at South Colony Lake, 28 August 2010

Custer County Search and Rescue was notified at 15:53 on Saturday that a 55 year old male from Pueblo was at South Colony Lake and injured his ankle. The report was that the ankle was either broken or sprained.  Nine members of CCSAR responded to the call.     SAR members met up with the subject at 18:00 at the upper parking lot and treated the injury.  The subject and his group of four were then transported three miles  to a lower parking area where their car was parked.  The subject was taken to a Pueblo hospital by his friends and family for treatment.
