At 22:40 on 13 June, 2013, CCSAR received a call out for a missing person in the Woods at Buck Mountain. Dispatch indicated the subject had gone for a walk at 19:45 and the subject’s dog had returned alone 20 minutes later.
Neighbors were already assisting in the search. Thirteen ground members and two ATVs responded to the staging area where two deputies were on the scene, and two office personnel manned the search base.
At 02:21 the subject was found – safe and sound – and transported back to the staging area by ATV. The mission ended at 03:30.
